The Pulp Archive is a collaborative exploration of place through handmade paper. Using discarded studio materials—sketches, post-it notes, trace paper, coffee filters, paper scraps—and organic matter gathered during walks through Charlotte, each sheet is formed from a unique blend of locally collected fibers. Each handmade sheet becomes a material portrait of place, preserving the textures, colors, and fragments that often go unnoticed in both the design process and the urban landscape. Together, the collection forms an archive that maps the designers at Little through their experiencies with everyday materials. By transforming natural and studio remnants into handmade paper, The Pulp Archive encourages us to slow down, observe more intentionally, and reconsider the creative potential of the materials that surround us.
